Prepress is the process of preparing a digital design file for commercial printing, checking resolution, colour accuracy, bleeds, fonts, and layout before the file ever reaches a press. DTP (Desktop Publishing) is where that file is built. They are inseparable: DTP creates the content, and prepress makes sure it survives the journey from screen to paper.

A DTP (Desktop Publishing) operator takes raw content (text, images, and data) and turns it into professionally formatted, print-ready or screen-ready documents. They manage every visual element on the page: margins, fonts, columns, image placement, and white space. Without them, even the strongest content looks unfinished.
